Terms & Conditions
These terms cover use of the BRAIN STORM GLOBAL CHESS ACADEMY website and portals, assessment enquiries, and academy information. Please review them with a qualified adviser and confirm academy-specific policies before relying on them as final legal terms.
1. Enquiries and learner accounts
A parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 should submit details for a learner under 18 and supervise the learner’s portal use. Keep account credentials private and notify the academy if an account may be compromised. Do not submit sensitive personal information through public enquiry forms.
2. Programs, lessons, and enrolment
Program descriptions are general information. An assessment request is not a confirmed appointment or enrolment. The academy will confirm availability, lesson format, timetable, fees, payment arrangements, and applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms directly. Enrolment begins only after the family and academy agree those details.
3. Scheduling and reminders
The academy may use email and WhatsApp to send operational reminders about scheduled classes, schedule changes, fee due dates, and tournaments or events. These reminders are sent only to recipients whose email or WhatsApp opt-in has been recorded by an authorised academy administrator. A parent or guardian may ask the academy to update or withdraw reminder consent. Reminder delivery depends on correct contact information and third-party service availability; the academy cannot guarantee delivery or timing.
Families should check the portal or confirm with the academy if a reminder is missing or a schedule appears unclear. The academy may update a class, event, or due date and issue a revised notice.
4. Respectful participation and materials
Learners and families are expected to treat coaches and other learners respectfully, follow reasonable online-class instructions, and use lesson links and learning materials for personal learning. Unless stated otherwise, academy text, graphics, lesson materials, and branding are owned by or used with permission by the academy. Do not copy, republish, or commercially use academy materials without written permission.
5. Events, achievements, and results
Tournament and event details may change. Registration, eligibility, event rules, and prizes will be confirmed in the relevant event notice. Public learner achievements, photographs, or feedback require parent or legal guardian permission. References to skills or learning benefits describe the academy’s teaching approach and do not promise a particular rating, result, or competitive outcome.
6. Fees and third-party services
Fees, payment dates, refunds, and cancellations will be confirmed directly by the academy before enrolment. A displayed currency conversion outside the academy’s confirmed pricing is an estimate. Online lessons, email, WhatsApp, hosting, and payment services may be provided by third parties and are also subject to their respective terms and availability.
7. Website availability and changes
The academy may update or temporarily pause website or portal features. The academy may revise these terms when its services change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page. Any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law continue to apply.
